Cara Menghitung Wind Chill Calc

learn.whatIsHeading

Wind chill is the perceived decrease in temperature felt by exposed skin due to airflow. Wind increases the rate of heat loss by continuously replacing the layer of warm air near the skin with cooler ambient air. The Environment Canada / NWS formula (2001) uses wind speed and air temperature to calculate the apparent feels-like temperature. It applies when the actual temperature is ≤ 10°C and wind speed > 4.8 km/h.

Panduan Langkah demi Langkah

  1. 1Metric (°C, km/h): WC = 13.12 + 0.6215T − 11.37V^0.16 + 0.3965T×V^0.16
  2. 2Imperial (°F, mph): WC = 35.74 + 0.6215T − 35.75V^0.16 + 0.4275T×V^0.16
  3. 3V^0.16 is the key term — wind speed has diminishing returns
  4. 4Developed by Environment Canada and the US NWS in 2001
  5. 5Not applicable above 10°C/50°F — no cooling effect from wind when air is warm
