How to Calculate Square Pyramid

What is Square Pyramid?

A square pyramid has a square base and four triangular faces meeting at a point (apex). The Great Pyramid of Giza is the most famous example. Volume is always ⅓ of a prism with the same base and height.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. 1Volume = (1/3) × base area × height
  2. 2Slant height = √(h² + (a/2)²) for square base
  3. 3Lateral area = (1/2) × perimeter × slant height
