How to Calculate Bmi

What is Bmi?

BMI (Body Mass Index) estimates body fat from weight and height. It screens for weight categories but cannot diagnose individual health — muscle mass, bone density, and body composition are not accounted for.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. 1Metric: BMI = weight(kg) ÷ height(m)²
  2. 2Imperial: BMI = 703 × weight(lb) ÷ height(in)²
  3. 3Compare result to WHO categories
  4. 4Consult a healthcare professional for full assessment
